An enemy is a person whose story we have not heard.

Small Claims cases can involve anything from a dispute over items allegedly kept improperly by one party, or security deposits, or a claim for back rent or damages after a tenant has moved out, to a dispute between a business and a customer. Typically, plaintiffs in small claims cases are seeking small dollar amounts and don’t want to spend money on attorneys to pursue those amounts. Also, many times small claims cases involve potential for an ongoing relationship that both parties have an interest in preserving. Mediation may be a viable alternative to litigation in these types of cases.
